Open Portal Certification

In the Open Portal Educative System, testing for certification, licensing, diplomas and the like is separated from the educational processes designed to prepare individuals to take the tests. Good examples of this system are the Bar Exam given by the American Bar Association but not by any single law school and most US Department of Motor Vehicles drivers license qualifying exams.

The infrastructure necessary to implement this separation is being built -- see, for example Pearson VUE Authorized Centers (PVTC) at http://www.vue.com/pvtc/ .
